Exercising

We just sit and smile.  That’s really our favourite thing to do.  Me lazying on the bed with you facing me, resting against my legs.  Sometimes we take turns.  You smile.  I smile.  You smile.  I smile.  And other times we just both smile.  They say it takes 15 muscles to smile, and we are working out those 15 to the max.

We’ve opted out of the “mommy and me nursery rhyme” class and the “baby signing” sessions and traded them for more “stay at home and smile” time.

It’s working well for us.

So tomorrow we will do it again.  We will wake up.  We will sit.  We will smile.

I ran marathons before I had you.  I had muscular legs, toned arms, and a strong heart.

But now?  Now I have you.  My legs are weaker, my arms less toned, and my heart not quite so strong.

But I will gladly, any day, every day, work out these smiling muscles with you.

  1. Good point….which muscles are more important than the smiling ones! Thanks for helping me to exercise those! I love your blogs, Terri Lynn.
